How to read captcha codes

I'm sure this has been said before but if you screw your eyes up a bit the captcha codes become more legible. Try it and you'll see.

If you cannot read the one you have, you can just keep refreshing until you get one you can read easily.
I would much sooner enter a competition with a captcha than one without, since the sites that don't use them are more likely to get spammed by companies that charge people a fee to enter them into loads of competitions.0 -

I do the refresh bit until I can read it. If I'm in doubt about a particular letter (it's right up against the next one) I'll sometimes increase my zoom level to clarify.0 -
there is also a "sound" icon to click on, if you want it spoken to you.0
