Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy and prosperous 2013
2012 was a very busy and expensive year.
We moved into our first house, got married, got our first family dog, I started a uni course and have been put on redundancy risk at work.
2013 is the year I am going to hopefully pay off all my debts. I haven't added them up exactly but it is somewhere in region of 12k!! Scary stuff! That is £1000 a month, not very doable as my monthly take home pay isn't much more than that but I am going to give it my best shot!!
The debt is split over two credit cards and the debt is mainly from buying a new kitchen, bathroom and other household items. I will admit to also buying shoes, takeaways and general crap I had no need for!!
I am aiming to update my diary once a week. Every Sunday evening.
January will be mainly be spent decluttering and trying to sell all the stuff I don't use, need or want. I am aiming to make/save/find a total of £1000 for my first month.
Food is something else I will be focusing on as we like to buy organic, free range and grass fed or pole caught meat and fish for ethical reasons and I cannot have wheat or gluten for health reasons. I am not eligible to have gluten free items off the doctor as i would need to reintroduce wheat back into my diet which makes me ill and shop bought items are very expensive
Any advice hints or tips will be gratefully received.
Thanks

After double checking my debts I owe £6,906 on a virgin card and have£3,900 on a Santander card giving me a lower total of £10,806.
I am aiming to clear the Santander card first.
I have sorted out a pile of clothes and am just waiting for my camera to charge before I can list them.
Also cooking various soups for work

Yesterday wasn't as good as I hoped as I had to use my credit card to pay for a speeding course. Really annoyed with myself as I thought the road was 40 MPH. Ah well it is done now.
Today will be a NSD and I am hoping to use parents camera to list clothes. Back in work on Monday so I need it done before then.Make £10 a day in January £0/£310

Well I have done nothing towards helping pay off any of my debts as I have had horrendous tooth ache and a stomach bug. Meaning most of my time was spent crying on the sofa!!
I am feeling much better now and ready to tackle the debt (which has increased by £112 as I had to use my card to pay for the dentist, pain killers and driving course!!)
I have set myself four targets for this week-
1, List 31 items of clothing on ebay/facebook
2, Find all wedding vouchers and make list of what is needed.
3, Meal planner for the week using what we have in already! (not a great deal here to be honest so this should be a challenge!!)
4, Deep clean bed room.
Will be listing items later this evening after dinner with my parents. Will also be having their steamer and carpet cleaner today but I won't be doing the bed room until next weekend!
I have pre booked a holiday in February (£112 needed for room plus spending money) so anything I find I no longer need in the bedroom cleaning will be flogged and the money will go towards this.
I enjoy going to gigs/on day trips and have 8 to go to this year (booked last year, some paid for some not) as well as 3 long weekends booked (1 paid in full, one deposit paid and one nothing paid off) and a sun holiday in December (deposit paid) This looks a lot but for me it isn't! I will not book anything else until both cards are paid off!!Make £10 a day in January £0/£310
