I can't find out from Google when WHSmith closes on NYE

It will probably depend on where the WHSmith is located. Around here it is in a shopping centre which shuts at 4pm on NYE and therefore so will WHSmith.
Why don't you look up the phone number for the store on the website and give them a call?0
