Account sold whilst on DMP?

Hi
I've been on a DMP with CCCS since summer, and two of my debts are to the very and little woods catalogs. I usually go online and check my statements with them but tonight when I tried to log in, it said I do not have access. So I just called them and the guy told me my account had been sold and to contact this department 08445560076 in the morning. When I asked the name he just said they're linked to very, but google search shows its their debt collection department.
Any ideas what could be going on here?

Is it NDR? They are their debt collecting arm but they should freeze any interest for you so do not fret.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000

I have no idea who it is, they wouldn't tell me anything aside from they are linked to very. I tried ringing the number in hopes it would say their name but it didn't.
The reason I was wanting statements in the first place is because my debt started about 1700 and is now 2600 with them, and I was lead to believe interested was frozen. I feel so fed up
Plus side, I just got offered a psych nursing job post, so hopefully these debts will go down instead of up

dont worry about it, although its easier than done, the same happened to me with a couple of my debts, theyve gone to the "own brand" collections department, ur get a letter from the company and they should also send one to stepchange, - with mine the letter was bog standard, - weve taken over the account, - payments will stay the same, - interest frozen, - review in 12 months.
I rang stepchange and they had the same letter. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Ahh thankyou, hopefully it's the same situation and hopefully they can explain why it's increased so much!0 -

My post crossed with your post, - they could have added extra charges and interest to the debt, even thou were on a dmp not all companies stop interest, late charges, underpayment, these can soon add up, my guessing is as its not gone to their debt department that the interest will be frozen.
Massive congratulations on the psych nursing post, and happy New Year xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Oh I've read a lot of bad things about this company harassing people.. How have they been with you?
I'm really surprised they're allowed to sell debts to companies without notifying us first

Does anybody know about late payment fees with catalogs? Both little woods and very have always charged me with late fees (when it's been say a day late, even when I first started my DMP and they agreed to the dates)
I'm wondering if this is partially why my debts increase by so much since starting the DMP0 -
If you want to look in to the reason for the increase in balance, I suggest a SAR (Subject Access Request) to Very and Littlewoods. It will cost £10 each.
Should you find that they have treated you unfairly you have recourse to claim the charges (and possibly interest) are removed.
You are probably best to get help from here on that because I don't think Stepchange generally do much on challenging balances.
A template letter for a SAR is here:
