gelatine help

I've promised to make dessert of Sunday lunches instead of buying them. I'm sure it will save me a small fortune. However I'm not too good at baking.
Next Sunday I want to attempt a lemon cheese cake which I found in the good house keeping book. It's says to add powered gelatine but I. Can't find it anywhere. The other gelatine says you have to use it with warm water.
Any suggestions?

I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

it isnt any harder to use the sheet gelatine - just dissolve it per instructions in the warm water and add to the other ingredients before chilling.0

I bought powder gelatine in tesco not long ago. Not all cheesecakes need gelatine either...could google another reciepe? Sheet gelatine is fine to use though (as about).0

Could you use vege-gel instead? Is that not powdered?0
