Advice Please?12kg Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine v.s 11kg LG Steam Direct Drive?

Options
Hello
I'm looking for any advice to help me choose which is best, the 12kg Samsung Eco Bubble or the 11kg LG Steam Direct Drive Washing Machine?

I have found both around £700 which feels excessive so I need something that is likely to last. I have no experience with either manufacturer.

I have a large family so require the large capacity, plus would like to be able to wash super-king duvets in it. Would I need the 12kg capacity for a super-king duvet? Is the steam feature on the LG really worth it?

Any advice gratefully received as my washing machine died on Christmas Eve so i'm becoming desperate!!!

Many thanks

hi liz can't comment on the samsung but i have 12kg lg steam version myself and if you read the paperwork it reckons does a double size duvet i personally have managed to squeeze in my king duvet so you may get a super king in it is really going to be very tight in the drum. (but mine is a goose feather and down bulky)
as to the washing the steam makes a real difference i would have to say is the best machine i have ever had the 10year guarantee on the direct motor drive only and 2years on the rest, also have to say my mum, gran and my uncle have all got the lg machines my mum was a 9kg steam one when they first come out and all are going well never had a blip they just work and work. also in relation to my machine 'if' it should go wrong they can do a noise down the telephone to the machine machine send a noise back and tell lg what is exactly wrong with it telling them if they need send an engineer out or if is easy fix quite clever really!
as to the steam function we had a very fine table cloth that got muck off the old door of our old bosch like black mildew missus had not seen it trapped under rubber seal anyway could not get out gave it to my misuss mother had a go at it and could not get it out at all gave it to my mum with her 9kg machine with steam it got it out first time with steam prog as well and steam can be turned on at 30C don't ask me how they do it but it did it anyway that was final deciding factor as was very expensive table cloth and very fine i would say from my experience go for lg steam you would be silly not to, you will not be disappointed!
but as to cost mine 12kg lg steam was £900 when i bought it but i reckoning £90 a year over ten years so will be worth it probably be longer than that sometimes pay for what you get.
    mine was
