Get a full time job earning at least minimum wage within walking/cycling or public transport distance of home.
Get a store card....pay it off in full. Use it every now and again...keep paying in full.
6 months later apply for a credit card. Use it regularly and always pay off in full.
Now a year later a personal loan for £5,000 should be approved. If you missed a payment or got a payday loan at any time then it will not be.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Can we assume this us a troll thread then?
You don't need money to buy bread if the shop is shut.
Nobody will lend you a thousand pounds, you need to forget this idea. You have taken out pay day loans. Everyone knows you cannot repay a loan because you have already used loans so you can buy bread just to eat.
Sell your little market stall and start saving. Treat yourself to a fresh full load of tiger bread with the proceeds.
Once your belly is full, start saving money so you can buy things instead of relying on others giving you handouts.0 -

There are people with years of credit history who are struggling to borrow and you suggesting someone with only a years history should be approved for a 5k loan is silly IMO.0 -

The real reasons:
1. You are self employed as a market trader with no history of any income from that profession. A market trader is also considered a high risk, unreliable source of income. Construction isn't much better either, and the self employed aspect only makes it worse.
2. You have no credit history with any proper lenders - no credit cards, no loans etc. One mobile phone is of little relevance.
3. You have taken out payday loans in the past - this means you had no money left on several occasions and therefore would have been unable to make the monthly repayment for any loan or anything else.
Payday loans are a sure sign that the person is either unable to manage their spending properly or is living beyond their means.
4. You require this loan for business purposes - a business which you have only just started and therefore have no idea of how well or badly it will do.0 -
