Hi there, first post, excellent site ... there is so much help here :j
Ok, down to business. I'm not in any serious debt, in fact, I'm practically a newbie to CC's, having only one. I currently have around 3k on my Barclaycard and the 0% offer runs out in August. I'm paying £100 a month off it.
I'm fully intending to apply for a Virgin card at the start of July and become a "tart". This will extend the 0% for another 9 months.
My question is : will Barclaycard charge me for cancelling my card with them? Why should the let me off scot-free when I have enjoyed just over 12months 0% with them?
cheers
Pete

Debt-free as of 01.10.08. I will never have a CC again and I'm "in the black"

No they will not charge you to cancel.
They give you the 0% in order to try and get you to continue to use there services at a higher rate, or hope you forget to look for another deal!0 -
Hehe ... no chance of that. Speaking of which, after reading the Capital One 0% BT thread, I'm off to the newsagents after I finish work to shake some mags ... :money:
cheers
