£10.48 cheque arrived from an old car insurance policy where they apparently had miscalculated the premium. Was from years ago :)
  • A lovely £160 to add from on-call; makes my total slightly less embarassing now! January is a s-l-o-w month!

    Debt-free and Proud!
hmmmm i feel like i have no earnings to add atm though i am doing the little things - i just put an energy saving light bulb in the lamp i use allllllllll the time, I have bought just one big shop and made it last all month, i walked 3 miles with my suitcase to get the bus instead of paying £5 for a taxi and i'm working away on swaggers for vouchers :) Also i sent the bank an email about fees they charged me which meant i got 2 refused dd's when i had planned my money out to cover them - hopefully they will refund these. I also got an application for a reduced price travel card today.....

I'm sure it all contributes to making the pennies stretch but i'm just not good at keeping totals for these kind of things :o

Ooooh and i am up to 9 items with bids on fleabay :)

hoping to have some more £ to add soon :D

  • Great challenge. Going to give it a try. Starting with how I can save £10 a day. Think not using my phone for a few weeks should cover this month. Then change my credit card to another provider should cover next month. Then maybe swap energy, phone and Internet. Cancel husbands sky sports he never gets watch. Turn down heating by a few degrees. Then maybe change the lightbulbs or fit sensors in the kids rooms so the lights go off after they leave the room. That will save me a fortune. Now where should I go on holiday?
  • I meant to post sooner but time is flying by,
sold old mobile phone as per earlier post £36.50 + day after made £6 on a FB sale so at £42.50. I was trying for £5 per day from the 16th as i joined late.

Hubby and I ebayed CD's we thought we try there before selling to magpie or carboot and we've sold a paltry 3 out of the 45!!!! Only 1 paid so far so that's a whopping £1.07 before ebay charges
:-( We also put a few other items on which didn't sell so will relist.

Tonight we have added more items to FB which have been sat in garage/house and some more onto ebay so we'll see what comes of it.

Goal is £80 by the end of the month so will keep going.......
:) Hubby & I got in the mess together and will get out of it together :-) x
