Well done for reaching redemption but how long did it take you? I hear mixed reviews about YouGov. Some rate it highly and say they cash out every 12 months and others say after years they still haven't reached the £50. What's your view on the site?

Difficult for me to say with YouGov. I had been signed up for a couple of years before I redeemed that £50. BUT, there's been times I've gone weeks not really doing any surveys at all at times, and I'm signed up with so many that even when I have flurrys of doing loads, these are all spread out over lots. I have never kept a record of all the surveys offered or anything, so I don't know how long it would have taken me to redeem had I done all of the surveys offered to me. But I know it would have been a lot sooner than 2 years!! :D I like their surveys too - they tend to be quite simple and straightforward, and not massively time consuming like some other sites where they go on forever!

Thanks but the problem is then I would have to pay two final value fees which would be £40.
If you have someone who does not pay, once you have done the Unpaid Item thing, you will get your Listing Fee AND final value fee back (I'm 99% certain I'm correct on this) so you will not lose out when someone messes you around.
However, if you send a second chance offer - which I would do asap so that they don't buy another car elsewhere first. Then you will pay the listing fee sill (but will only be once) and the final value fee based on the amount of the second chance. Hope you get it sorted :)

Forgot to add, had a nice surprise of 500 maximiles points waiting for me in my email account for completing my 50th survey :D helped boost the total. Is it me or is it taking forever to collect points from there nowadays? The videos are sparse as are decent surveys.
Do you do the searches? I have to use Internet Explorer, as the toolbar doesn't work in Chrome which I use (or at least didn't in the past when I downloaded it) so I usually forget, as I don't use IE for much, but good way to add a few extra points in there for not really doing anything.

Oh and sausage me up for that new site ;)

Have read back and caught up, lots of little bits all adding up :) Keep at it. January is often a bit slow going for this challenge.
I also realised I hadn't added £20 from an Ebay sale that was collected last week too :)

    Hi

I am looking for a bit advice and the specifics around your daily/weekly routine to get to a total £10 a day.

    Hi Benmain,

I have also added to Fairyclicks thread about survey sites. I've put up a list of my top sites, those I hate and those I just can't decide either way. Ultimately what works for some won't for another.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4375829

There are plenty of survey and PTC sites that are highly rated here and on Dooyoo and Ciao that I loathe, likewise there are some I really like that others don't. Your demographics and personal circumstances will dictate your earnings as well as how much time you have to spend participating.

Today I'm adding a rather fab £6.90:j, combined earnings from Valued Opinions, Onepoll, Adpoints, Nectar Canvas and good old Swagbucks. Finally January is starting to pick up and I've even managed to tip over my target by £3.79!

Off to Debenhams tomorrow to pay off my store card  so hopefully faulty parking meters will be nationwide and I will be able to save £2.40 just like nat21luv! I should be so lucky...

nat21luv....Count me in for signing up to a new site too :-)

Thanks for your help. I am waiting for response from the "buyer" and eBay, so hoping fees will be re credited. I contacted other bidder but sadly he had gone for another car when he got outbid. I will just have to 're list or put it in auto trader.

Well 3 out of 4 ebay buyers have paid up so that's a good start. Also had a few more TB articles acccepted and got £15 cashback from Quidco so all in all doing reasonably well. I'm going to have to rearrange my training for the extra hours at work though - there's no way I'm going to make it to the training location in this snow. Am still off my main job as I've been diagnosed with viral gastro  so should be back at the weekend... trying to make the most of my time off by ebaying more stuff, getting on top of my uni assignments and getting the house in better shape.

Obviously it depends on how many bidders there was and what their bids were, but you can offer a second chance to any bidder. So if the third highest was only a little less than the second highest, and it's an amount you'd be happy with, then that might be an option?
Or if you relist and it sells second time, you would only pay 1 lot of insertion fees still as they refund the first time if it sells the second. (The 1st time wouldn't count as 'selling' because you were messed around)

  • Very slow month here. Still haven't sorted out my stuff for eBay but have today and tomorrow off work so think I'll get the stuff washed ironed and hung up, and start photographing them. Then saturday I'll start putting the listings together. Although ideally I'll get them listed so I can relist what doesn't sell before the end of the month as I have a 100 item listing restriction. So far have £8.89 from an eBay sale and apptrailers (thanks for the info on that Aesop).
Found out Im expecting a little girl so thats going to be expensive as I love the girly clothes! Spent a small fortune yesterday so hoping that will feed my addiction for a while! May have a look round the charity shops today though :S

Also nat could I have a sausage please?
