It's stuff I really shouldn't be spending money on! So am attempting to keep track of it a bit. Itis €20 a week, which is a bit high but I figure if I can keep track of where the money is going it will be easier to cut back.

So far it has gone on Sunday papers, new slippers on sale from Topshop and Heat magazine which was a pure unconscious purchase. Used to always buy it but had decided to stop but forgot!

Makes sense, it's a reasonable amount. Those small purchases are needed sometimes to save our sanity. For me today it was coffee and cake. There's a nice 2013 calender free with the Indo on Saturday if you'd like that:)
    Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65
    Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31
    CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€500

Exactly, it's about not feeling guilty for every little thing. Don't have a 2013 calendar yet so that's handy, thanks.

  • A few days since an update but nothing much to update. Spending is under control. Did the grocery shopping on Friday and pretty much stuck to the shopping list. This is our biggest issue, we'd be able to stick to budget pretty well if we didn't keep picking up anything that caught our eye!

NSD on Saturday. We took Bailey on a long walk in the National Park and spent ages throwing sticks into the lake for him.

Slipped up and bought the Sunday papers again. We were in the shop and I was weak!

Took Bailey to the beach again today. It's further away so not good on Diesel but on his normal walk he gets covered in mud. On this one he stays clean (although he tried to roll in a dead fish today!) and it was really quite and I was able to let him off the lead for a little bit.

Waching new series of Glee. It's good.

  • It's been a while! Mostly my days are the same so there was nothing to write about but I should come on more often anyway.

Unfortunately budget has gone out the window this month. Still tracking everything we spend but due to DHs little brother emigrating we had a few expenses I hadn't budgeted for. We gave him some money to take with him and we took the family out for Sunday lunch so my "family & personal" budget is gone through the roof. We have the money to cover all of it - I just hadn't planned on spending it!

Have had snow since Monday, looking like today is going to be the last day there's any on the ground as it's raining but, as it was there for such a short time it was lovely. My local town council really mucked up though. Had to go to town to a certain building yesterday. Asked DH to drive me as I've had a few accidents in snow/ice and am very nervous about driving in it. Got to town no problem, but no one had bothered to grit/salt the pavements! I was hanging onto DH for dear life and everyone going into/coming out of the building were slipping all over the place! Not good.

I promise to check in more often.
