Computer course help

Hi, I am currently doing a computer course with Computeach which involves paying over a set amount of time (4 years) a total of almost £6k. Since taking on this course I have found a new job that has given me hours of work where I cannot possible find time to do my actual course. Upon trying to cancel this they have told me that upon me being accepted for the course, I was granted with a sort of "loan" for the whole course fee's, therefore I cannot cancel until I have paid this all back.
The situation I am in now is that, okay I signed a contract, but my conditions have changed and I cannot possibly find the time to actually complete this course. I have only briefly covered the first module (of 7) and the coursework I have been provided so far, does not match the monetary value that I have paid up till now. The way I see it is that, I have already paid for more than I have got out of this course so far and as I physically cannot do the course then I shouldn't be forced too. I know to some extent this is quite possibly the wrong approach to take but I am being made to pay the remaining 5K over 4 years (which works out at just over £110/month) and as I cannot do the course, I am paying a lot of money for no reason. I have told the course providers and they have said that I am bound by the contract and whether I like it or not, I will HAVE to pay the remaining amount. I honestly hope they are wrong and I was wondering if there is anybody on this site that has been in this situation before or can offer any advice on how to get myself out of this mess!
Any Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time
Regards,

Best advice might be to head to CAB with a copy of the contract and see what they have to say."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

You chose to change your circumstances yourself by taking a new job - why should that excuse you from a contractual commitment that you've already agreed to? If the course isn't what it was advertised as then that's another thing, but it's hardly fair to say that you don't have time any more simply because you accepted a new job! It's equivalent to me saying that I've taken a lower-paid job so do I really still have to pay my mortgage off, I just physically don't have the money, and is there any way out of it?!0

I agree with Barvid - you have chosen to change your circumstances - this is not Computeach's fault, after all they have put in place a course for you to follow.0

When i was thinking doing one of these courses i was warned by the advisors that if i changed my mind i would have to continue paying the money whether i was still interested or not, surely you were warned about this when you enquired about doing the course, i dont think theres much u can do to be honest,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
