Jan 2013 - Sun priority code request list

Ships cat doesn't seem to come on here very often - perhaps they use a computer at a library once a week or so, so they may thank you in a few days?

Often though we get newbies joining just to ask for a code, or people who never come back or reply so you don't know if they have used the code or not. One year I suggested that perhaps all spare codes could be sent to whoever was running the thread, and then that person could send them to others if those earlier in the list didn't respond by the day of code-cracking. Others thought that would be too complicated or time consuming though.

no that would have been a good idea i has sort of been running the code thread this year but it is hard to see who is only just come on and not active member when you have so many requesting one

You have done a great job of keeping things in order, pinkladyof66 , but I see that it would be rather time-consuming to keep an eye out for the code-seekers rather than regular members.

Yes, and also if it's to be a fair list I suppose it's fair enough that newbies can participate.

It's just frustrating that there might be people who ask for a code then don't come back, and that code might be sitting in their PM box forever when somebody else could use it.

The people who kindly come to offer codes can't be expected to PM someone, wait for a response then PM somebody else on Saturday for example. They just want to give their code away, which is why some people say the first to PM them can have it.

I don't know what the answer is, but I don't like to think of unused codes.

I asked to be added to list on 29 dec and would have been near the top but was missed off, not been on to look as had a nasty bug

have re adjusted list sorry about that it was late at night and someone went and just added themselves selfishly and not bothered to add any who asked just before (bit naughty really)
