Free / 80% off certain android apps via amazon appstore

If you have an android phone / tablet (e.g. galaxy s3/kindle fire etc) you can download the amazon appstore (think of it as a mini play store) to get a free app a day along with 80% off certain apps.

I have used it for a few days now and got a few decent games for free.

Apparently the free app a day has been running for months so it is possible that this is a long term promotion which is great.
