I have one, and yes it does leak through the steam vent if you use it to transport the soup and it is not upright.
There are 2 ways around it... one is that their pot designed for yoghurt and cereal with a removable tray thingy has the exact same lid but without the vent - so you can use that, then swap the lid over to heat it up.
Or, as I do usually, put a small piece of cling film over the top of the cup, pull it tight, then put the lid on top and clip on.
No more leaky steam vent
