Cheapest place to get basic Kindle?

First time I have been in this area of MSE! :hello:

I was wondering if anyone has seen the Kindle (basic one, usually £69) anywhere on sale?

My kids stepped on mine and broke it

I got mine from tesco by using the new user £10.00 off code
need a new email address if you are an old user and pick up from store

A colleagues son broke his, and she sent it back to Kindle and they sent a new one! This was not an insured one - worth a try?

My sister dropped her Kindle onto a stone tiled floor. It was about 21 months old, so way out of warranty. She rang Amazon to see if it could be fixed and they offered her a discount on a new one. I think it was £12-£15.

It would definitely be worth ringing them.
