Hi, now Everyone has their Christmas presents I was looking for any advice/pros/cons etc on the best Tablets to buy for our, to be, 6 year old twin boys, for their birthday.
They are both really good on/interested in my iPad but I can't justify two at the price they are for 6 year olds, even though they are better than me on mine:eek:
We are considering the Nexus 7 - 8gb?? but thought I would ask for any advice before making a decision.
So any tips would be greatly received as this is a minefield and not our forte:o:rotfl:
Thanks in advance

I don't know about prices for Nexus 7 but have an iPad mini and a Kindle Fire.
I find the Kindle Fire more difficult than the iPad to navigate around - in my own opinion you just can't beat the iPad.
Have you looked on Gumtree for any 2nd hand iPads? There's a lot in my area - unwanted Christmas gifts so you may find yourself a bargain!
Think iPad 2 refurbished were about £259 on Apple website although not sure if that's still too pricey for you.0 -
Thanks for your reply but wasn't wanting to spend over £500 as the boys will only be 6 and will wanting other things too.....will have a look around, the Nexus is around £160 per Tablet and has good reviews.
Thank again

lol! I am looking into the exact same thing for my twin girls who will be 6 in a few months!
I am NO WAY spending out ipad amounts of money and have been looking at android tablets on ebay - they start from £55 (7") and go up from there. Some even come with keyboard and protective case.
As one of my girls managed to step on my kindle and break it, I am much more comfortable spending £55 on a tablet which may get broken, than £100upwards!
Hope that helps0
