Free Solar Panels - Isis Solar - Problems

Can anyone help or have had the same problem. In 2010 we applied for free solar panels with Isis Solar, linked on this website and recommended by Martin Lewis. It is nearly 2013 and there are still not working!
We applied in May 2010 and approved. The scaffolding went up in the middle to end of 2011 and remained in situ for nearly 6 months. The panels went up in January 2012 yet nothing more was done until months year. During this period the scaffolding company arrived and removed them due to non payment by the company employed by Isis Solar. So more scaffolding was needed. Eventually all was completed and 21 panels fixed. We thought that during summer 2012 and after we would be working but, with new scaffold and just by climbing over the roof. It needed fixing. The electrician's work was re done and hey presto meter was activated but, with in one week a phone call received from Isis Solar telling us to turn off the inverter immediately, as the inverter was a fire risk. Isis Solar have been contacted on a weekly basis yet we are continuing to be fobbed off with we are top of the list and it will be done and then they requested a meter reading. Zero we told them. Carrillon have now been tasked with completing the work. They attended and confirmed we needed a new inverter and would attend to replace. That was six months ago!
18 months now waiting and one year fitted with out free electricity! two summers missed!
Has anyone got any similar problems or solutions.

What does your contract say ? ....

If it was me I'd have sent my concerns in writing a number of times by now, each time ensuring that they were aware that I had met the terms & conditions of the contract and that they obviously hadn't .... Then offer them the choice of a couple of grand for the panels as fitted and get the inverter changed yourself (of course they'd need to transfer the MCS registration) -or- give them a fixed timescale to retrieve their equipment and make good, with recompense (based on what they advertised you'd have saved on electricity over 25 years - that'll make them think !) and, of course, a suitable roofline guarantee for the removal workmanship.

    Good luck ..
