Most 24 hour supermarkets are so large that they fall foul of sunday trading laws so close at 10pm ish on Saturdays til the morning when they open for 6 hours. Kinda defeats the idea of being 24 hours, but I suspect that's why HappyMJ's post quotes Sunday in the example.0 -

Oh of course, I hadn't considered the larger stores closing for Sunday trading hours. I guess they would need access to a Tesco Express then and just hope & pray they actually held in stock whatever they customer is requesting. My local TE frequently runs out of my favourite wine at weekends!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I actully know a company who do the same as the Op asked
Here what they told me

out of all your profit and getting the business off the ground your marketing would be the main one to functiuon, Looking for areas where people are travelling home late night after a Booze Cruise to even who your competituion is?(ASDA tecso ect,)
So getting marketing or business cards done and placed in taxis or taxi ranks is a good way to online website and finding your website with a good way of contact
the law
To start the business
If you sell alcohol from licensed premises, you or a member of your staff must hold a personal licence, so that every sale or supply of alcohol is authorised by a personal licence holder.
‘Licensed premises’ include any premises allowed to sell alcohol under a premises licence. You don’t need a personal licence to sell alcohol under a temporary events notice.
You must be 18 years or older and hold a licensing qualification – for example the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH) Level 2.
Applications for a personal licence should be made to your local authority and, once granted, the licence will be valid for ten years. (cited from website:https://www.gov.uk/personal-licence-to-sell-alcohol)
also the personal must have no convictions or any kind.
then you need libality insurance for stock
and a premises
the Dwp site has lots of do and donts of the subject which i cited for you to reference too hope that helps
For id also of customer it would be better to open a bank account which accepts merchant payments that way you question the age of the customer by Bank account of payment and also cover you for any libarty, Remember you have to be over 17 to have a credit card. after order you simply load up the order and truck and arrive at the address.
Cash is cool also but bank credit is better no hassle of being had off bewcause the bank checks all data and makes 5% FROM SALE also
as banks do vgia streamline so you would need to present a business plan with outcomings of business idea, Profit ect,
Hope that helps
flex"MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0 -

That is complete rubbish, a bank account or credit card is not acceptable proof of age when selling alcohol.Remember you have to be over 17 to have a credit card.
You have to be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You don't have to be any age to beg, borrow or steal a credit card.
Possession of a credit card is not proof of age.Cash is cool also but bank credit is better no hassle of being had off bewcause the bank checks all data
If the banks check all data why do so many people become victims of card fraud?Hope that helps
Well not really, it didn't help at all. In fact, if people acted on your advice they will probably end up in court.0 -
I had a look into it a while back, might still do it. Your best bet is to work through someone who's already got an off licence business, preferably a 24 hour one, so the premises side of it's sorted and you can buy stock together. Depending how you set yourself up, it's probably still worth having a personal licence, but you can do that in a day for minimal expense (or you could back when I had one for the shop).
Orderring's fairly easy, just work through just eat or hungry house or something like.
If you don't mind working silly hours and dealing with drunk people, it could be very lucrative, especcially if you can sell fags as well.C_Mababejive wrote: »Its a tragedy that British society is now so degenerate that such services are flourishing.
True, but their money's the same as everyone else's, the only difference is it came out of your taxes via the dole officeYes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

At home?
If so, your business address will be your home address. Will the product be kept in a secure place? If the local lowlife get wind of the fact that your house has a whole heap of product stored therein, would this put you at increased risk of burglary?0 -
What are the laws concerning simply collecting alcohol from the supermarket and delivering it?0
