well we want a bigger mortgage did a credit check turns out my fiancee has 2 outstanding defaults, 1 she sort of knew of the 2nd one she doesnt know why and i dont as we never had a contract with the mobile network, these defaults were 2 yrs ago, do we pay them and will that make the defaults clear or not bother paying them as it prob wont make any differece, they add up too £600 in total, but then if it helps us get a better mortgage im prepare to pay it, apperently he said my credit history really good so im a bit peeved off

Defaults stay on your credit report for six years whether you pay them or not, although I would imagine it would look better if they are satisfied defaults rather than not!
I don't think you can get rid of them. Your OH should request details of the mobile default if she thinks it is in doubt. If you go to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk there is a section on defaults and how to query them.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
