Simple vegan cookbooks

I've made the decision to go vegan and need some recipes. Anyone know of any good cook books with reasonably simple recipes ?

If you google parsley soup Cherrys vegan recipes its a great site full of tasty easy recipes!

I'd see about borrowing books from the library for ideas, a lot of the new vegan books are American which can be harder to follow I find.

If you have any questions about going vegan do PM me as I've been vegan for over 7 years and go to a lot of the vegan fairs - great places to get lots of nice food and information.

Have you tried BBC Good Food website? I use that rather than buy books.

Some tips for a vegan friendly store cupboard - oaktree vegatable soup in tescos is vegan friendly - alot of other makes have milk in, Also in the large tescos they now have a range of vegan yoghurts etc in the dairy section. Tescos Jammy dodgers also vegan.

It is a case of reading labels for starters as well as recipes as a lot of items that you would not expect to have animal products in have,

There is a lot out there now and it is getting easier.

I can also recommend HF-W River Cottage Veg Everyday - not a vegan book but has plenty of vegan and vegan-able recipes in it.
Veganomicon is good and by the same author a low fat vegan cookbook is Appetite for Reduction (mango BBQ beans are yummy). Also check out the websites (I regularly post likes to their recipes on my FB page) for Happy Herbivore and Mouthwatering Vegan. Both also have FB pages.
