Isolation from Europe wouldn't be splendid for the UK?

Well at least we can console ourselves that the EU will boom with all those returning migrants and I wish them well. (more people, more jobs, more wealth etc) Poland, Romainian etc will for ever sing our praises and will probably set up charities to help the poor Brits. One does wonder why they left in the first place knowing that people=jobs=wealth.
And at least you have moved from your rediculous and mad view that an additional 100,000 people automatically creates 100,000 more jobs and you now acknowledge that there are many other factors that affect employment.
Of course the ratio of pensioners to workers may well increase at bit in the short term;
but as you know the continual import of young people is a ponzi scheme that requires a exponential growth in population to sustain it.
(hint young migrants of say 25 now will become 65 in 40 years time, immigrants of 35 now will become 65 in 30 years time, immigrants of 45 now will become 65 in 20 years time.)
However, being blessed with significant unemployment and underemployment we will be able to improve the employment of those that remain.
Romainian's can still come over here, we have not yet ended this?0 -
I can just imagine the likes of Siemens, Merloni, Bosch, EDF, Fiat, Daimler-Benz, VW, Rhone Poulenc, Renault, Electrolux, BMW, and all the rest of the continental manufacturers who flood our market with their exports allowing their EU puppets to upset their customers with tariffs against the odd Dyson or Honda.
Sorry Europhiles, your day has come and gone. The great plan (such as it was) didn't work and people are increasingly seeing through the scaremongering, whether it's 'how else will we contain the nasty Germans?' (that worked well, didn't it) or 'where will we sell our products?'0 -
No the majority of the UK would not back that .....because it would be an incredibly stupid thing to do for a trading nation.http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/dec/28/isolation-europe-not-splendid-uk-eu
I personally think leaving the EU, regain control of our borders and start to govern our own country will be a good start. I'm sure majority of UK will back that? What do you think?0
