I really wish Kelloggs would do their safety campaign for kids again (I know it was nearly 25 years ago)
I spent many a day as a kid with Spokey-Dokes (reflective spoke thingies) on my bike from Kellogg's packets. Also Spoke Reflectors (as on ebay)
Children should be seen and heard in these dark winter evenings on their bikes - the OPs post is excellent for this.
