shared ownership

Options
which building societies offer 100% fixed rate mortgages for first time buyers who buy a shared ownership property (ie 50% share).

  • not sure on the shared ownership but halifax were willing to go 100% with myself (for a high lending charge). didn't go 100% in the end but was nice to have the option, they might be worth looking into :)

    Leeds Building Society are one of the few lenders willing to do 100% shared ownership.

    Abbey will do a 95% LTV with 5% cashback so you'd only need a few quid of your own.

    Ipswich BS can also do it depends where you are in country because the Newbury is possibly the better product
