Do student nurses get a uniform tax rebate too?

Hello
I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread or not! I'm a recent nursing graduate and I spent a fortune over the past 3 years on maintaining my uniforms and buying new shoes for placement and I was wondering if its possible for student nurses to claim back for this?
On my course I received £500 bursary every month and was able to claim travel expenses back from SAAS (if they exceeded over £5 a day SAAS would pay the difference).
I'm just looking for ways to make some extra cash and I'm unsure if student nurses are entitled!
Thank you

As you were not paying tax, it would not be possible to get a tax rebate - the clue is in the name!0

on the assumption the bursary is non taxable income then as miduck says you cannot get a rebate as you haven't paid tax
if/when you do earn enough to pay tax then see here for the rules for nurses
