The whole point is i don't really want to have to prepare figures for my mortgage. Recent years' income have been very low, and will not enable me to borrow very much at all! I don't want to have to pay an accountant to project figures for me. Between myself and partner (who i dont want named on the mortgage for personal reasons!) we will comfortably afford a 50k mortgage. (about £240 monthly fixed for 2 years) In 2 years time i will have the funds available to pay the majority of the 50k off anyway.
That is why i simply want a self cert which requires no proof of income or figures that some accountant has made up for me....and a lender which can allow me to apply on line for simplicity....
    Maybe none exist?
I can see the need for brokers and advisors in many circumstances but in my case i just want an easy deal with minimal fees.

Sparks go to http://www.remortgages2.co.uk and apply for a self cert mortgage.

Might have something to do with the contact being in Blackburn and the start of the email being joe@

Thanks Joek but like all the other sites i've tried, this one just tells me to "Refer to a Mortgage Professional" after i've punched in all my details.

You need a GMAC Star Mortgage - unfortunately no longer available.

Why are people talking about remortgaging anything? - Don't you need to sell yours AND raise £50k?

    Andy.
