We had a chicken once a month as a family treat. Hard to believe now.

When my grandfather played football for a then top club, his win bonus was a chicken. That's even harder to believe now...

Perhaps that shows where we have gone wrong in our society. I bet the games were much more entertaining then and a dam site more affordable.

Per month?! I spend not much more than that per year heating a 5 bed detached! Granted, lots of thermals and woollies.

One might question whether 27,000 die of cold due to lack of money for heating

but if it is true then the answer is probably not to give lots of money to 15 million people who mostly don't need it

Maybe the question is how many more would die if the WFA were abolished?
