mmm...I think a playful slap is sometimes just an excuse to touch you but some people are just very tactile... don't know him but I am willing to romance vicarously and I'm now convinced he shall make a move

But then again a joiner? I love the smell of putty
Flat now sparkly clean, no run as I have a sore throat which I thought would vanish after a couple of cuppas but it hasn't
not deadly ill but running wouldn't be the best move. Right an hour of college work and I'll be done I think! Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

[although from reading mamamags diary, I am putting in a cosmic order for a joiner:D[/QUOTE]
Can I let you into a wee secret?.................
I met my joiner on-line!!!
After a long marriage - long story - quick ending and very quickly recovered from!
After several hideous nights out where I watched letchy drunk men eye up all the short skirted talent I decided I wanted to be single forever rather than go through that again!! I had a feeling that the kind of man I wanted would not be in the pub on a Saturday night necking vodka and trying to chat up anything with a cleavage and a pulse!
Decided to try on line dating ( this was a long time ago now and there so many horror stories going about so it was pretty scary!!!).
Met/spoke to 3 guys - one I really liked who never got back to me, one that I met for coffee (who checked out my bum when I went to get up:eek:) - never saw him again and finally OH.
That's that really!!! He was and still is a keeper and most definately not the kind of man I would have met in the pub. I'm not saying that all guys who go to the pub are wrong uns but just not the type of person I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
I did get lots of contact from total creeps looking for a quickie or extra maritial affair but I just laughed them off so don't let those ones put you off. I took great joy in winding them up!!
Always stay safe and have an 'emergency' escape route in mind should you decide to meet up and he turns out to be a snorting bore!! I had a pal primed to phone me after 30 minutes with a child care emergency if necessary!
Having a man in my life was not the be all and end all for me as I was having a full enjoyable life anyway but I honestly think he was sent for me as my life took a very hard turn around the time I met him and he was an absolute hero and continues to be so! Sadly I lost my mum around that time but she met him and loved him and told me he was my gift from the gods!! :A Far from perfect he definately is but perfect for me - DEFINATELY!!!
Have fun looking girls and stay safe.0 -
Awww thanks mamamags - I do like a happy ending
I know exactly what you mean about blokes in pubs, I don't go into them often but when I do, I'm too busy catching up with my friends to look for men and the kind of person I'd like to meet would probably be doing the same... Glad your mum got to meet him and know you were settled and happy before she passed away.
And the meeting through friends thing? Met last ex through friends, friend now severely hacked off with him over the way he treated me so despite her thinking he was a fab bloke which he is in many ways, doesn't mean he's great at relationships.
No printer ink in Mr T, hopefully I can print off at college tomorrow...Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Okay, so that's my online theory / friend of a friend, of a friend totally blown out of the water:D
What a brilliant ending mamamags, your story puts my faith right back regarding soul mates - there IS someone (and the right one!) out there for everyone.

Honestly GG I couldn't do it....I've been away from the scene that long I wouldn't have the confidence. Plus I'm pretty certain I'll have 'healed up' by now if you get my meaning;)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Seeing I've been oversharing already... ex that I asked not to contact me a couple of weeks ago contacted me last week to wish me a happy birthday (ok fair enough), and twice this week... oh and he's also now on the dating site...sigh:o That might be my fault as I was chatting to someone and then realised that he might know him, said nowt but think he may have twigged and asked him. Nothing simple in my life really:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:he's not contacted me as a potential date and my photo's not on;)Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
