to rent a 2 bed private here is approx 500 per month so not far off what a mortgage would be for us least it wouldn't be money down the drain which is what it feels like just now!
  • I think you should look at shared ownership if there are any schemes in your area

failing that, is there no way you could gt a part time job to boost your income?

just had a look but nothing like that here we live in a small village where they have put pressured housing staus on the council houses so tenants can no longer buy their council home there is such a small turnover of council homes the last 1 was allocated in 2003 so buying or renting privately is the only way to stay here without having to take our little girl out of school and move

sorry i have never heard of this shared ownership property & we have no savings for it either?

Have a look at the link and see if there are any in your area.

Shared ownership mortgages do not cost any more than normal mortgages and often you can live in a bigger house with a smaller mortgage.

Why do you give up so easy.

I have conducted a search for "shared ownership property glasgow scotland" and there is a list of properties available in housing associations near to you.

I have pm you with the link but you can find this yourself if you search.
