ASDA - Champagne Advertised at £1, RRP £30

I was just checking out with ASDA groceries online and noticed a graphical ad "£1 Bottle of Piper Heidsieck 75cl Champagne", originally £30. I - of course - added it to my trolley only to find that the actual price comes up at £15. I print screened the ad. Do you think if I bought this I would get a refund for the difference?

Maybe consider asking to have a bottle scanned off the shelf in store instead before deciding to purchase online. It's possible the ad could be an error. No harm trying though.
Heidsieck is also showing as £15 on mySupermarket though in store prices may be different.0 -
Thanks, I bought it anyway.
I did go through mysupermarket, this ad was shown to me on the ASDA payment page. I'll see what I can do when it's delivered.0 -
could you post the pic?0

I've just spent five days arguing with Asda about this. They say I have 7 days from delivery to return it to store for a full refund, as it 'was a glitch on the website'. I just feel conned into buying a bottle of champagne I wouldn't have bought. I too have a screenshot, but I can't post an image as I'm a new user.0

If it's too good to be true, always best to check just in case. You could phone their head office though probably better to check in store as their head office might not realise it's an error if they check and see the screenshot.0

I didn't get my money back either.0

Tough. You knew the price of the product in your basket and agreed to pay it by clicking submit.
If you had a query about the price you should have phoned before placing your order. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

Are you having a a laugh!!!!
I never understand people who knowingly continue with a order when seeing the order total is not correct. And don't think to query it before pressing the submit button.
The amount of people who I deal with on a daily basis due to the same issue is unbelievable. And just makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall.
The customer never wants to take responsibility for their own actions it is always the company's fault.
But you know what they say about common sense it is not that common.

Of course you havent been conned, you didnt have to buy it, you bought it because you were trying to take advantage of someones mistake. Nothing more, nothing less.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

'zen'seeker. I never actually phone ASDA as I lacked substantial interest. but 'tough'? it's FALSE ADVERTISING. ASDA should honour the price that was displayed, regardless!. This is the fault of ASDA, not the consumer.0
