Paye Tax/CIS Tax Vouchers

I have been working as paye for the past 4 years now, Ijust need some infomation on what to do with some CIS tax vouchers I have, there are only 4 of them with a gross total of £1980 from 2003. I just wanted to know where to send them to find out if I can get a rebate. Also working as paye how do Ifind out if I've paid to much tax or does the tax office refund you if you have.

Do you work out your own PAYE or does someone else do this for you? They should have allowed the tax deducted on the CIS4 vouchers (18% of £1,980) against your PAYE bill in that period. It might be worth checking with them first to see if they did that.

I'm struggling to find out whether there is any time limit on reclaiming tax deducted on old CIS vouchers. As you may be aware, the old CIS scheme finished up on 5 April and a new scheme started. CIS 4s etc no longer exist.

Final returns under the old scheme need to be in by May 19th, so now is a good a time as any to enquire. If all else fails, try the HMRC helpline on 0845 366 7899.

Sorry I can't be more help at the moment. I'll have a dig around when I get back to work to see if I can come up with anything better.
