I've been keeping track of my money on a spreadsheet I have set up but I'm not sure how to account for money taken out of my bank as cash. Because if I note cash withdrawels but then note what I spend the cash on then I will be counting the money twice.... Ideally I would like to be able to manage my money to the last penny but I'm not sure if this will be possible because there will always be those little spends that slip through the net. Any suggestions?
  • Cracking idea FE! ;)
I suggest you use a second page on the spreadsheet for your cash withdrawals.
    sheet one for example -£50.00
Sheet two would have cash in column with date and then column b what it was spent on, using sum function to total it for you?
Bit complicated I know but it depends how far you want to go.

Yes that sounds like a good idea. I was thinking that perhaps I could keep a paper record for my cash spends which I won't necessarily have to input into the money spreadsheet but which I could refer to if suddenly my cash expenditure goes a bit crazy ! I get cross when people ask you if you want a receipt. Of course I want a receipt !!!!
