Homebase online order processing

I'm trying to complete an online order with Homebase and have been holding for over 10 minutes faced with the message of "We are currently processing your order . . . Please don't use back button, exit or refresh this page."

If I give up, presumably it won't take the funds from my card. Is that correct? Is it safe to start over again?

Added: Waited over twenty minutes. Gave up. No confirmation email so guess I can try again later.

Added next day:
Tried to order again this morning (delivery time doubled since yesterday - sales must be going well to other people). Still waiting with the above message displaying for over ten minutes before I closed browser.
Could phone a premium rate number to try to purchase. May or may not bother to call them this evening when number included in free call plan.
Seem to recall Homebase were pretty poor on service in the past and I had doubted whether I would use again. Think they are losing me as a customer.

Following earlier updates -
After two days of trying to make my purchase, this morning they've put the price up by 9%. Oh well, I'll look elsewhere.

Also been having problems last night and this morning. Could phone up but this will mean I wont get cashback.

Just checked and if I order over the phone I will also lose the 20% discount (£45!!) :mad:

Were you trying to use a Mastercard? I have now found out from Barclaycard that there is a problem with on-line purchases but the card can be used on the phone or in retail outlets.

If you have a Visa badged card as an alternative, you should be able to order online with that.

Yes it is a mastercard. Have been informed by Homebase via facebook that the problem has been resolved.

Unfortunately it hasn't !!

Homebase not only took my money twice when I was in exactly the same situation as the poster - they also didn't confirm the order and had no record of the transaction. 4 days later I am still trying to get my money back - the duplicate transaction has cleared my account!
