I remember some time ago there was something on here or another site about contacting the Revenue to get your tax code changed in your favour for having to do things like buy your own work uniform and the like.
Is anyone able to help out here?

Hi,
It depends on your circumstances, phone HMRC and they'll be able to advise you on the things you can claim for in your coding.
