They have a clearance sale on at the moment but that has been on for some time. I don't think this is the "main" sale.

UPDATE: Answered my own question by ringing them. Apparently, the clearance sale is all they're doing this year.

TK Maxx always have a sale on - it's "up to" 60% off...

I agree with Prowla. They do not really do a sale. At some point you may find some o fthe red clearance stickers replaced with yellow final clearance but usually they are for nothing you would want (broken etc) and when they do this, it does not appear to be at "sale" times in my experience. Someone else may know better. :)

    Or "upto 60% off *" :)

Anyway, I went today out of curiosity and as per my usual knack of arriving for the party late the men's department was practically empty of Medium sized anything !

Respect should go to TK Maxx for making the department look stocked when in reality there wasn't much there.

I've noticed that their range has deteriorated of late - I think they started by picking up US stock at the start of the downturn, but now there may not be so much available to them.

The staff in my local branch have always said they don't have sales because everything is already discounted. I cannot remember ever seeing a sale beyond the normal clearance shelves.
  • They even have posters up in store saying something like "Why bother with sales?" !!!
  • They do actually have sales, my friend has said it's in January usually, him and his wife go every year. Yes they always have discounts, but they do have further discounts and sale items are really cheap!!!! I have had a few bargains in these sales, such as skiing trousers rrp£120 for £4!!! Keep your eyes open in the new year......

I work for TK Maxx and they usually have a final clearance (yellow stickered sale, which gets reduced daily ) around mid January and again in the summer. Once the store starts putting yellow stickers on stock, you know it wont be long before they start the daily reductions.

Didn't know people still shopped there.

I used to go when it was good, about 15 year ago. But stopped when the prices seemed to shoot up and it was no better than any other discount store.
