Hi guys. Haven't posted in a while but can I get advise on coupons since I'm sure you've the best experience with staff. Can a whole store just refuse coupons "because they've had lots of frauds so refuse them now" I'm sure I always read stories of you guys being pushed by the staff but your in your right to use them etc... The supervisor (or guy the SA dinged for) said he accepts non of the "safecoupons and haven't for months" and of course the SA had no clue about this... I emailed CS about it and they called back and said they spoke to the store and this store is indeed no longer accepting them and its up to stores to decide.. But I've never heard this happening to trout stories on here. Should I have fought harder? I was hoping I could get a confirmation that they should accept them but it seems if they want to say no they can do :/
EDIT: This was in tosco btw

There isn't a given right to use coupons. It is always at the discretion of the store. They got more right to do that than we have to use them

  • Thank you newbie1980 and queenofcheap. At least my local smaller tosco accepts them openly at the moment. It's a shame it was refused of the frauds issues. Just so frustrating when your made a targeted outing with the factoring of bus fare (or fuel for others) and it catches you off.

Could be worth trying to push the issue with Tesco's but I think ultimately it's up to the store. :(
Do you have any other stores nearby?
Which store was it, just incase someone on here has successfully used them?
