I did have a look at the mens shower gels in Sada - Nivea I think? that were on someones rec last night but thye were on the bottom shelf and no special wrong SEL on them so I didnt bother. There seemed to be a lot of people working on H and B shelves price checking

Dropped lucky on whoopsies last night so thought I'd share a little stash pic with you guys. Cost was just under £20

Vs W on the shop on my last post, there were only four items which compared. The Oven chips were 30p cheaper than A, the Flora was the same price and the lettuce & red leics. cheese were more expensive for W.

Vs S: much the same price as A. A lot of non-comp. The oven chips were cheaper for S but more or less cancelled out by the Red Leicester slices:

5 bananas for £1? 5 bananas might weigh around 1kg (or less). 1kg of loose bananas would have been 68p/kg (or 68p-6.8p vs Morries) so would have been cheaper (even if price of loose bananas has increased compared to perhaps 1 or 2 years ago). Also would have given 6 or 7p more APG - but I'm not complaining.:)

Also an update on yesterdays very bad news re eldest childs future m-i-l. Well she survived the night which is excllent news as it could have gone either way but lungs and kidneys not looking good as yet. Also some surgery might be needed - I think she went into septic shock.

    So very early days yet.

Apparently its very prevelent in communities in very close proximity. They (assume its medical staff) worked out it actually started just before Christmas - she did have a cold over Christmas. And also they figured out who she got it from. Anyway they are all on antibiotics now, husband 2 lads and eldest child, assume also Nan but not sure about the extended family as they were over on boxing day.

We are OK as eldest child went straight from work to her London weekend and then to us so she was not in contact in those pre Christmas days (only after Christmas when she went home) so cant have given anything to us.

Now really is a good time to get out there! People are not buying so much just after the festivities so plenty to be had really.

I know it looks like I'm lucky, but I'm really not and have many many days where I get naff all. Just have to keep popping in stores and being persistent. Days like we had yesterday always come along. :)

Be prepared to spend a bit of time at it (assuming you have the time and I appreciate not every does) and a bit of fuel now and again. Another tip. Nights with big international footy matches are worth a look. Oh, and those days where you really don't want to set foot out the door as the weather is so awful.......brave it, they are often the nights of the best rewards!
