That's what threw one of mine away yesterday. They think 50p a can is good value. Why do they? The 4 pack multipacks (Heinz) at A were better a few weeks ago when T were £2. (10% cheaper is £1.80, divided by 4 is a little bit better than 50p a can.)
At the moment, we're onto the 4 pack Cross & Blackwell Chicken Soups - they are £1.49 in T. I've just noticed however they are no longer on tosco.com or MSM for me (they were on both yesterday) - don't know whether this means the price is going up in store, making them a potential DTD if someone somewhere forgets to change the SEL...

Fortunately Cross & Blackwell is an acceptable brand as Heinz to the rest of my family, so they'll have them as well as Heinz. The 4 pack C&B (at least the Chicken) isn't I think stocked in A, so should be non-comp. on the PP (vs A). Otherwise, if you're in A in GB, the single cans of C&B soups (400g) are 50p in M - although only certain varieties are stocked in my A (and careful re. what is stocked in M) - so, even if they're in A, all things being equal, i.e. tastes of diff. brands, people should be buying the C&B singles instead of being distracted by the Heinz rollback. Although most of us on here would have been using the Baxter's coupons and with DTDs or PP.

This is how it works - people go for rollbacks/price drops, rather than the diff size packs that are the same price per unit at the rival (and therefore, for Sada shoppers, 10% cheaper than the rollback price, or, for T, not really much point shopping for either in T as simply same price and put on PP requiring shopping again in T, unless DTD on SEL mispricings, but, instead, 10% cheaper in A when buying the version that's on the T price drop). I have it all sorted, fortunately most of the public do not...

The one I had yesterday bought 8 cans of soup 50p each. As T is 75p each, and 5 for £3, it's losing a lot of the potential APG.

Edit that, just signed out and they are 2 for £3 afterall.
But the Silver Protect isn't on any offer at all. Could work with that if it's still on instore?
