PLEASE dont log on to this company ...my daughter did (silly girl) and today Christmas Eve has found that nearly £200 has been taken from her bank account. It shows that they charge a £59.75 membership fee, not £200 to find you a loan which they haven't. Of course there is know one in the office today just a reception taking calls.
Called the bank to tell them its unauthorised transaction and they say the money not actually gone just earmarked and can't do anything til its gone and then they can look into it.
What a good Christmas this is going to be.

Phone Calls and Emails wont get your money back, and it was an authorised transaction, you need to read their T&C's

Thanks krisdorey for advice I can't seem to find their T&C's on pages that do not require logging on . Why would they have taken £200? Are you saying that this can be put right with a letter to them?0
-
Down the bottom of their main page, between the two green bars, the last option is "Terms"0
-
You can get your money back (minus £5) but expect it to be hard work. You must follow what they say in the Terms.0
-
Thanks again and will get onto this right now. Still cant see where the £200 came from!
But PLEASE let this be a warning to everyone don't do it no matter how much you might feel you need a loan and if you must read everything!!!!!0 -

Me neither, I have heard of them and a few others have complained about them taking a small off of their account which they weren't expecting, I know they do state a fee in their T&C's of something like what you said carbut, £59.75, so yes, kris is right in as much as they are authorized to take that fee and yes people should read the T&C's but....£200???, that doesn't sound at all right to me, there's no way they could expect someone who's looking for a loan to pay that much, £59 odd is bad enough, something is wrong somewhere!0 -
No-one should pay any money to get a loan.0

Well, as you say, the £200 (or so) hasn't been taken. It's simply on hold.
Are you sure it's been earmarked by loansdirectuk.net? None of the bank accounts I have give this information, however some of my credit card accounts do. Could it be a pending payment for something else? It may bounce back to your daughter's account anyway.
As for the £59.75 fee, that's highlighted extremely prominently on their website.0 -
Yes I know £59 is highlighted but having spoken to the bank the £200 is defiantly on hold for loansdirectuk hopefully it will bounce back but if not letter will be on way.
Daughter hopefully has learnt lesson and will read before clicking in the future!! It is always the desperate that get caught out like this.
ALWAYS READ BEFORE YOU CLICK!!!0
