Oh no, I knew I shouldn't have looked on this website today as I have just placed two orders with Lakeland (in order to use the £5 off for spending £25 or more). Total spent, £51.91. :money:

I have decided that since I love home baking I am going to make the time to bake at home this year so these purchases will help me to achieve this, thanks! :j

I got two emails on Friday 4th January to say my two orders had been dispatched and they arrived yesterday. :j

One of the things I ordered was My Kitchen 12 Cup Mini Sandwich Tin and it mentions about making individual cheesecakes and banoffee pies but although I looked their entire site I did not find a recipe. Has anyone attempted to make individual cheesecakes or banoffee pies and if so could they share their recipe or alternatively does anyone know where I can get a cheesecake or banoffee pie recipe which I could use this tin for?

I'm pretty sure you could use most cupcake/brownie etc recipes and they'd work perfectly fine. :)

Banoffee is fab & super easy, but not sure how well they'll release from the tins...Boil an UNOPENED tin of condensed milk for about 3hours then leave to cool a bit(otherwise the hot toffee will squirt out at you). Crush some digestive biscuits & mix with some melted butter, layer on some toffee from the tin, add some banana, then whipped cream.

Not sure how great the Lakeland recipes are but here are the ones they suggest...

    Good luck!

Thanks, I found those recipe but despite looking at the 24 Lakeland recipe pages I could not locate the two fore mentioned recipes.

I make banoffee in a springform tin using Caranation Caramel although it can be running (don't know how to resolve this) but I thought individual ones would be nice!

I've been a huge fan of Lakeland in the past but I've found the quality of their stuff had deteriorated in the last few years. Last year I bought some baking and roasting tins from them only to have the non-stick coating shed after only a few uses. Granted their Customer Service is excellent - they gave me a full refund immediately - but last week I was looking through their site for some kitchen equipment and couldn't find anything in the category that was rated higher than 3 stars (out of 5).

    Shame. :(

  • Went in there yesterday. Even at half price they are sooo expensive. I'll go to B&M.

Yes I have had many things in the past that just do not do what they are meant to do, I agree the customer service is good and will refund without quibble, but wouldn't they be better in going back to the old Lakeland family business and sell quality rather than quantity.

I agree I have looked through the sale stuff a few times over the last weeks and even in the sale the stuff is still expensive and like mentioned above you are not always getting quality :(
