So you are considering buying when ypu posted on Christmas Eve. You now have an offer on 27th December?
Have you got a Decision in Principle? If so this is not an offer as nobody has visited the property to value it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We bought our council flat which was on the top floor of a (10 storey) tower block. Our mortgage was with the Abbey National. There was no valuation apart from the manager of the local branch where we had applied coming round to 'have a look'.
He said in his report that he considered there to be a limited resale value.

You can't compare what happened in 1989 to what is available today.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
