Leyton Asda no bargains to be had at all.0

Tesco Leyton closing at 10pm trying to decide whether to go or not. Anyone been there today. what are stock levels like
What time are they likely to do reductions?0 -
Canary Wharf M&S...spoke to one of the staff who said that they are not reducing to those levels this year but couldn't give a reason as to why. People were hanging around in the hope that there would be more but nothing.
I'd guess there has to be a point when the supermarket can write the food off for tax purposes and make more money doing that than reducing the food to sell it.0 -
Did much better yesterday in my local Asda, really mega reductions on fish, pizzas, fruit, veg and bread, Not so good today, mainly veg but I cant complain I have had over 60.00 worth for around 15.00.
The fish was really good, trout and mackeral all 26p a pack got loads, punnets of nectarines 25p bread 5p and 10p. I am best pleased with the
veg today prepared packs of carrot and carrot and swede 10p a pack. Got 20 packs and have them drying for soup and stew packs. Also 5 2.5kg potatoes at 49p. Wont need any for weeks now.Slimming World at target0 -
According to staff at morrisons today the best reductions will be when they reopen on the 27th. they were avoiding marking down anything other than stuff with a 25th dec date today.0

I have been looking at Turkeys all week ( For the last 6 or 7 years I have got a last minute reduced bird) but in every store the sell by date was the 26th....
In Waitrose, Sainsburys, Marks, everywhere, so knew there would be no good reductions until Christmas Eve.
After trawling around all the store - was a very varied scene.
Sainsburys - shelves cleared.
Waitrose 1 - Empty shelves for poultry, but lots of cheap veg
Marks - Full shelves but no reduction, even though only 30 minutes before store closing.
Waitrose 2 - Managed to get a bird with 75% off - about 10 minutes befor closing time.
My closest shave yet...... otherwise it would be salmon steaks, which don't really go with stuffing and sprouts !!0
