how do I fit the yorkshire pudding cooking in with the rest?! Needs a higher temp and do not open the oven door.
If I cook the rest before won't it all be cold by time puds are done?
I rarely do big meals!

What else are you cooking in the oven.
The meat needs to be out 20 plus minutes before anyway to rest
I do my pigs in blankest and stuffing in the oven at the same time as the puds.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Turkey ( Pork / beef) will still be hot for ages after removing from oven , just cover in foil and drape a t towel over it ......mine 'stand' for 30 mins , so its out with the bird , temp sky high , in with Roast pots , wait 10 mins?? in with the puds and sausages . Your only problem is warming the plates .If I cook the rest before won't it all be cold by time puds are done?
Too much to do Xmas day to worry about genuine yorkshire puds , settle for Aunt Bessie. One of the VERY few frozen dishes that grace my xmas table. ( the other is frozen peas)0 -
Thank you!
I am only cooking a breast joint, not whole bird. I wasn't sure about how long it would stay hot - but foil and tea towel sounds a good idea. :T0 -
I cooked a very large turkey crown on Saturday and it stayed hot for an hour and a half wrapped in foil before I came to carve it - it was still HOT inside when I carved it, as in too hot to touch with bare hands.0
