    Aren't you forgetting the homeless?

They deserve a warm bed for the night, and some decent food.

    Aw that's nice.
Will you be inviting one or two in for the night and to enjoy your Christmas dinner?

    Of course not.

That's as likely as OP sharing an actual glass with renters!

Happy Winterval to all. Gonna be cold and wet here on Xmas day. 22C and showery; gutted.

    We'll......

I have on occasion took a homeless person to the local chip shop for a supper rather than give them money.

I also sent my tenants a bottle of wine and a christmas card (I also leave a welcome card and bottle of wine for new tenants.

Not exactly sharing, but I have no doubt I could if I wanted.

Most LLs would be more likely to send the whiners an empty can of Tenants apparently.

I took my mother to buy stuff for a localish foodbank near her a few weeks back.

I should have checked the FAQ on their web site first. Instead, we bought a mixture of tins, including quite a few beans.

The lady in charge smiled politely and explained that beans were not something they wanted. We felt a bit daft, but they know best eh?

It's a nice idea, taking people in, but it's more effective to give to organisations like the Sally Army.
