Gammon and beef in slow cooker together?

Will that be ok?

Only got a smallish joint of each but thought I might put both in together and cook them today for tomorrow.

Or separate?

Normally cook my 950g Aldi beef joint from 9-5 in slow cooker, gammon joint is smaller so I could put it in after?

Will be tackling the sprout mountain later!

i wouldnt cook them together unless you can somehow separate them, could you scrunch some foil into a dish shape and put the gammon in this?

I dont eat meat but think that they might taste funny being cooked together

    I wouldn't recommend this.

The gammon will be cured and will transfer a lot of flavour to the beef for a start.

Cook them separately. The gammon will only need 20mins per lb plus 20 mins, however you cook it (normal boil/bake or half-and-half).

  • Thanks, will do it separately, better get out of bed and put it in then!

    Thanks again
