I've just been casing the joint at my local. Spotted a friendly looking SA.

Me: (smiling) I know you're probably sworn to secrecy, but might you be opening early tomorrow?
SA: I don't know. (turns to male SA nearby). Are we open early tomorrow?
    Other SA: (bemused smile) No.
SA: No we aren't. Erm.....Why might we be? (awkward smile)
Me: (losing my nerve) Well I don't know. I could tell you, but it's a secret.

Ha ha ha. Scuttled out as quick as I could. I thought they were in on it and knew what I was talking about, hence the smiles, but quickly realised they didn't have a clue and were probably just smiling nervously til I left and they could call for the men in the white costs. Might have to wear a disguise tomorrow, I was mortified.

LOLOL that really made me chuckle! :rotfl:

Really? Think I might leave it then. There are loads in Argos for around this price so it's not really that cheap!

Sweetcheeks33 - I'm in Bournemouth. The SA's were telling me they have regulars that turn up outside with vans and clear the shelves so I might not get any of what I want![/QUOTE

They were on about the head not rotating and some were for and some against (it might of been the other way round, only briefly read it)

VAN!!! Oh my thats extreme! I've made a wish list which is quite long and looks greedy but they are all geniune presents and have a largeish family/lots of events this yr. How do the "van people" carry everything to claim everything?

I dont understand how people make money on Ebay with the gifts?

What was the one in town like? Not sure I will get to metro. Was last there last week so it could have all changed.

To me it seems quite limited n I just hate pushing n shoving to get stuff so town centre will be a quick look (also to confirm sale on) before move on to the main one (metrocentre).

I can still remmber last year there's another lady n I were both eying up the last joules wash bag, n I m like you have it, n she is like no you go on, in the end another person grab it. Ha
  • Popped into widnes store to check stock and hardly anything a few tb cases, champneys cases and food bits, 2small aisles. There was loads last year. Oh and no toys at all booooo
The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have :)
  • Me neither... I buy gifts for birthdays & christmas's to 'top up' people's presents I give them. It's the only way we can give people so much is by me being thrifty and getting bargins through out the year....

I have a gifts box in my house that's usually filled by January!!

Good luck to everyone and thanks for helping each other out with the bargins!!

On that note- have a look in the make up bags lane as a 'metallic make up purse' nice size small male up bags down to £1 ...... Bargain!!!

Went to case out my local tonight. I bought my fave perfume as they still had that set half price, then I got to checking the booty!
Mine has at least 150 of the big Soap and Glory sets, tons of the TB purple sets, tons of the FC bags but hardly any lower priced sets. If I can get what I want tomorrow I'm after:
    1x S&G set £15
    1x Botanics pamper kit £2.50
    1x MH hairdryer (think 17.50)
    1x No.7 pedicure kit £5
    1x Starbucks mug £2
    1x Pineapple perfume set £3.24
    1x Sanctuary set £4

I'm going to think about the hairdryer - has anyone got one? Are they any good? Probably still not a major bargain as I no doubt won't use the products??

I have the MH hair dryer and love it. The shampoo and conditioner that come with it are also great and worth £12 on their own!

    Bargain at 75% off!

Oh also....forgot the mention, check the contents are in the gift set bags as saw a few Fearne ones unzipped today, contents could easily go walkies and not realise until you get home! Which would be majorly annoying!

Hi, I was looking through the composition of the products within the sets at Boots this evening wanting to find a one that does not list sodium laureth sulfate after aqua (water) but, I gave up as I could not find any. Do they all contain sodium Laureth Sulfates?

    TIA
  • Im hoping to get some of the baking sets and some little top up presents and stocking fillers. Also anything Dr Who or Power Rangers. Hope everyone gets what they want. :)
