I think these are my new best friends... to be honest I don't really know my way around the kitchen to well, although I am very keen to learn, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with fresh garlic, but when I went shopping this morning I found these frozen garlic cubes. Only £1.00 for 20, seems like a good deal to me

Fresh garlic can be used with pasta, pizzas, make garlic bread, alot of things really. £1 for 20 cubes, not bad I guess, depends how
what the size is in relation to how many 1 should use.0 -
I always buy these now, and the frozen chilli cubes. If I buy fresh garlic and chillies usually I end up forgetting about it and half of it goes off. I also HATE the smell of garlic on my fingers after chopping it (never bothered trying any of those little garlic crusher devices, they always seem like a pain to clean) and without fail if I chop up chillies I end up rubbing my eye or something stupid, haha. They might not be great value for money but they're so handy and they last ages in the freezer, and barely take up any room.Kate.0

My mum & I have been using the jars of crushed garlic for years, generally cheapest to buy from the Asian supermarket. I do love fresh garlic too, but for chilli, bolognese etc, the ready preprepared stuff works well, and it's handy to always have some in the cupboard, I'd buy the frozen stuff, but a)I don't always have room in the freezer, and b) I like the fact that with a jar you can use exactly as much as you want/need.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

It's OK, but I find it is not as strong as fresh garlic, seem to need at least twice as much for the same result! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

as above, its not as pungent as fresh. Though it also does not taint your fingers in the same way.
I use them as convient and do not worry about going off.0 -
