Old (prior to 2003) assessment rules for CSA

Hi all,

This is my first post on this site which I think is superb.

It's great to find a place where others are airing their frustrations from both sides of parenting involved with the CSA. My question is a quick one.

My case was opened and assessed in 1995 and I have not been re-assessed since. Yesterday I received a letter from the CSA asking for additional information for my case. I guess this is a standard letter to start a re-assessment. Since my case was started under the old scheme it will be re-assesed against it but I can't remeber what outgoings are taken into account.

I know mortgage payments, and I think travel costs, are included.

Does anyone know what other outgoings are taken into account?

Thanks

For the reassessment you need to supply up to date wages, your mortgage details including any mortgage protection policies, endowments linked to your mortgage, council tax and any pension payments that you make, you can ask for a travel to work calculation as per below

"In some cases, there may also be a weekly allowance for travel costs for journeys to work which are more than 150 miles a week in a straight line distance"

You can also apply for a departure if you have excessive travel to work costs which are not fully met in your mantenance assessment or you do not qualify for an allowance in your assessment.
    :A

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Yes, all the housing costs (mortgage or rent in full, ground rent if applicable, endowments) council tax, evidence of travel to work in excess of 150 miles per week (as the crow flies, but you can try for a departure), any income details, child/working tax credit income, children in your household that are yours, partner's income details. Nothing else really as the amounts given for personal allowances are the same as the rates for income support.
