i've done something really stupid

Hi

I've just done something really stupid.:o

I had loads of stuff end on ebay yesterday and i wrapped everything ready to take to the po today.

I checked payments and i thought everyone had paid so i posted them off.

I got home and i've just checked now and realised one person hasn't paid.

Big oops

What do i do? I don't really want to contact the buyer and tell them cause they might think they don't have to pay i'm just praying they pay sometime today

Most people are honest so I'm sure you'll receive payment, if not it's another lesson in ebay life!

Maybe a little note saying you had a senior/blonde moment and have posted it before you received payment and look forward to receiving cheque/paypal etc.

    oh nightmare !!!!
I would perhaps send an e-mail asking how they are paying just to gee them up a bit. May prompt them to pay.??

If they don't pay up, you can open a NPB, if they don't respond, you can neg them without fear of retaliation!

It wouldn't help you get the dosh, but it would make you feel better!!!

I definitely wouldn't do anything until after the package will have arrived.

I cannot see any possible advantage to contacting the buyer (except, perhaps, the vague hope that you might prod a slwo payer into action. my guess is that won't happen).

Not doing anything means that if you do have the misfortune to have a dishonest buyer, they get no inkling of the fact that if they don't pay they're going to get their item anyway.

I would sit it out too and hope that payment comes before the item's likely to reach them - tomorrow I guess? If this happens they may be amazed at the speed of delivery!
