I seem to have the opposite problem from most. I was put on a BR tax code, which my employer has used to only take 20% even though on my income more tax than this should be taken. Is this correct?

Hi,
remember you have a tax free allowance of £8105/ 675/155, year/month/week, so not all earnings are taxed.
Here's a wee gadget to try.0 -

A lot more info would be needed to say if it's correct or not.
A BR tax code is normally used for a 2nd income and as you say 20% is deducted with no tax free allowance. It used to be the default tax code for those with no P45 or P46 but that has been superseded by the 0T tax code which will give no tax free allowance but will take tax at 20% and 40% as necessary.
Can you give us some more info please? Is this your only job and did you hand in a P45 or complete a P46?
I am assuming you feel you should be paying some higher rate tax? What is your income?0 -
Hi, my P45 apparently got lost hence I was put on BR. I'm on an income in excess of £60K but only 20% tax was taken.0
